Man Arrested, Linked to Several Suspicious Incidents
A Sacramento man was arrested after following people in at least three different areas of Roseville Sept. 8. Police believe the man could be linked to an incident near a school, in which a man asked a child if she wanted a ride.

A 40-year-old man was arrested Sept. 8 in Roseville after several residents contacted Roseville Police reporting a man following people. The man may be linked to an incident near a school that same day when a man asked a girl if she wanted a ride. All of the incidents occurred Sept. 8 in the northwestern part of Roseville, according to Roseville Police.
According to the arresting officer, the man was reported in at least three different locations that day ranging from Sun City to Big Bear Drive, approaching people asking if he could stay with them because he was looking for a place to live. He also may have been at the Martha Riley Library in the afternoon and approached a child asking if he could help them with the computers.
That same day, at 3:30 p.m., as a Robert C. Cooley Middle School student was walking home, a man approached her in his car and asked if she wanted a ride. The student was walking on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard near Impressionist Loop, when a man driving a white car drove past her, did two u-turns and pulled up next to her, asking if she wanted a ride. The girl declined, walked in the opposite direction and the driver drove away. The girl went home and told her mother what had happened. The mother notified school authorities, who notified Roseville Police.
