Friday, May 11

Overnight May 11/12, someone shot a bb or pellet gun at a vehicle in the 500 block of Arlene, causing dents.

Attempted vehicle burglary — Between May 11 and 13, someone pried the lock of a vehicle parked in an apartment complex at 300 Cirby Hills Drive. Nothing was taken.

Saturday, May 12

Attempted vehicle burglary — Between 9:50 p.m. on May 12 and 12:30 a.m. May 13, someone tried to pry the lock of a car parked at a movie theater parking lot on Eureka Road. They damaged the lock but fortunately didn't get in.

Tip from Roseville Police: Movie theaters and fitness center parking lots are favorite targets of thieves-they know that people tend to leave valuables inside their cars and won't be back for an hour or two. Leave your valuables at home or take them with you. If you must leave valuables inside your car, store them out of sight in the trunk before you get to your destination.

Monday, May 14

Between midnight at 9 a.m. May 14, someone went into an unlocked pickup and an unlocked tool box in the back of another pickup in the 1300 block of Harrison Drive and took stereo equipment and tools.

Thursday, May 17

Between 7:45 and 8:40 a.m. on May 17, someone smashed the window of a car parked at a fitness center on Eureka Road and took a canvas bag that the owner had hidden behind the passenger seat, covered with a towel. The bag contained an iPad and other items.

Overnight on May 17/18, someone went into a possibly unlocked car in the 500 block of Twinwood Loop, rifled through the center console and glove box, popped the trunk open and took two sets of golf clubs.

Saturday, May 19

Overnight on May 19/20, someone broke into cars on Grey Owl Circle and Elk Ravine Way (both inside the same gated community) and took expensive purses with their contents, a portable GPS unit, a camera and other items.

Tip from Roseville Police: Even if you live in a gated community, park your car inside your locked garage at night. If that's not possible, be sure to lock all doors, roll all windows up, and remove all valuable items, including your garage remote control.

Monday, May 21

At 12:10 a.m. May 21, a resident of the 300 block of Bettencourt Drive chased off someone he'd caught inside his truck.  The thief had gotten access to the truck via an unlocked window, and stole a knife.  The unknown suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, 5'8" tall and 190 pounds, with brown hair, wearing a black hat with white writing, a black jacket over a white shirt, and blue jeans.

At about 10:20 a.m. on May 21, someone broke the window of a vehicle in a parking lot in the 1800 block of Taylor Road, and took a backpack containing a wallet, iPhone, iPad and other items. The owner had left the backpack on the floorboard of the unattended vehicle for only about five minutes. No suspect was seen.
