Here's a look at the vehicle-related crime in Roseville between April 5-16:
Last week we reported that overnight on April 5/6, someone stole a Dodge Ram pickup from the 1200 block of Melody Lane. On April 12, the stolen pickup was located on Smith Lane near Sunrise Avenue with a broken window and damaged steering column.

Between 8:30 p.m. on April 5 and 9 a.m. April 6, someone stole a white 2001 Dodge 1500 pickup from a parking lot on Douglas Boulevard at Sunrise Avenue. The pickup is still missing. During the same time frame, someone entered two other unlocked vehicles in the same area and tampered with their steering columns in an apparent attempt to steal them.
Overnight on April 6/7, a blue Jeep SUV was taken from Lawnview Avenue in Loomis. Roseville officers found it, undamaged and unoccupied, on April 12 in the 200 block of Sharp Circle.
Between 5:40 and 6:50 p.m. on April 9, someone went into an unlocked jeep parked in Roseville Square and took expensive art supplies, text books, a video game and other items.
Between 6:30 and 8:45 p.m. on April 10, someone went into the trunk of a car parked at 1600 Eureka Road, and took jewelry out of a gym bag. Nothing else was taken, and there was no sign of forced entry.
Between 10 p.m. April 10 and 1:30 p.m. April 11, someone broke into a pickup parked in an apartment complex at 300 Cirby Hills Drive and took the stereo faceplate.
Between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. on April 11, someone went into an unlocked pickup parked in the 1800 block of Woodacre Way and took out the in-dash stereo system.
Sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on April 11, someone went into an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1400 block of Champion Oaks Drive and took music CDs and small change.
Overnight on April 11/12, someone broke the window of a car parked in the driveway of a home in the 2100 block of Lemontree Way. Nothing was taken.
Between 9 p.m. on April 11 and noon on April 13, someone forced entry into a car parked in the 1900 block of San Carlos Circle, tampered with the ignition, and took small items out of the vehicle.
Between 10 a.m. April 12 and 2 p.m. April 14, someone broke into a van parked in the 1000 block of Hillcrest Avenue and took commercial cleaning equipment.
Between 2:30 and 11:30 p.m. on April 13, someone broke the window of a car parked at 1600 Eureka Road, and took a purse that had been hidden under the passenger's seat.
Between 8 a.m. and noon on April 13, someone pried the door of a car parked in the 10000 block of Fairway and stole a leather jacket, backpack, fishing gear and a cell phone charger.
At 1:36 a.m. on April 14, officers responded to the area of Duncan Way and Windermere Avenue to what was initially reported as someone shooting at a house. Officers found that no shots had been fired, but that suspects had used baseball bats to vandalize a vehicle. Officers stopped one of the three involved vehicles and arrested three males from Sacramento, aged 19, 20 and 21, for various drug-related charges. The incident is under further investigation.
Between 11:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on April 15, someone stole a brown 1989 Toyota Camry four-door sedan from the 1500 block of Vineyard Road. The vehicle is still missing.
At about 10 a.m. April 16, a vehicle break-in was discovered in a fitness center parking lot in the 5000 block of Foothills. The burglar smashed the window and took a department store shopping bag with clothing and a receipt inside and a cosmetics bag from the passenger's seat. A witness remembered seeing a suspicious male in the parking lot earlier. He was described as a white male driving a white vehicle with tinted windows. He was seen looking through several vehicle windows.
Series of Stolen Hondas, Vehicle Burglaries Reported
Roseville Police believe that a series of stolen Hondas and other vehicle burglaries that occurred overnight on April 11 and 12 were likely connected.
Between 7 p.m. on April 11 and 9 a.m. on April 12, someone stole a gold 1991 Honda Accord from the 2000 block of Monterey Pines Drive. Late on April 12, a Roseville officer found the stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of Blanchard Drive. The car wasn't damaged, and no one was inside. The victim was notified to pick the car up.
Also, sometime between 7 p.m. on April 11 and 9:30 a.m. on April 12, someone stole a gold 1993 Honda Accord from the 1800 block of Culverhill Way. The vehicle is still missing.
Then, between 9 p.m. on April 11 and noon on April 13, someone forced entry into a car parked in the 1900 block of San Carlos Circle, tampered with the ignition, and took small items out of the vehicle.
Lastly, between 7:30 and 9 a.m. April 12, someone stole a black 1995 Honda Civic four-door sedan from a driveway in the 1300 block of Whitstable Drive. The thieves stole the stereo and other items form the car, then "dumped" it in the 2200 block of Hartland Circle at 9 a.m. A witness on Hartland Circle saw suspects taking property out of the black Honda and then driving away in a green Honda sedan. The suspects were described only as one Asian male and three white males.
Roseville Police suspected these vehicle break-ins are connected.
