Most Roseville Area Elementary Schools Meet API Target

Roseville is home to some of the top-scoring elementary schools, according to Academic Performance Index, or API, results released Wednesday.

All but two Roseville elementary schools surpassed the state goal of an 800 API score, according to the 2010-11 results. API scores consist of a single score ranging from 200 to 1,000 that reflects a school’s performance level based on the results of statewide testing.

and elementary schools were the only two Roseville area elementary schools that did not reach the state's target API score of 800. However, both schools improved their scores by five points. George Cirby has an API score of 791 and Bradford Woodbridge Fundamental has a score of 749.

Of all elementary schools with the three Roseville area school districts, nine had an API score of 900 or more. Within Dry Creek Joint Elementary, Eureka Union and Roseville City Elementary school districts, Oakhills Elementary had the highest API score of 936 – three points higher than the school’s score for the 2010-11 school year. at 923, at 921, at 920 and at 916 followed as the top-API scoring Roseville area elementary schools.

, within the Eureka Union district, had the largest jump up in scores from 869 to 893 for 2010-11. The biggest drop among Roseville area elementary schools was at Greenhills Elementary down 21 points from the previous year’s score of 921 to 889 for the 2010-11 year.
