Oct. 26: Treat the Tricked, Crafts Group, More

Instead of or in addition to buying Halloween candy, think about donating to a local nonprofit.

Treat the Tricked – Through Treat the Tricked, a 10-day campaign running through Oct. 31, Agape International Missions has a goal of raising at least $25,000 for the prevention of sex trafficking. The nonprofit is asking for $10 donations – equivalent to about two bags of Halloween candy – that will go to fight sex trafficking and save the lives of girls living in Cambodia. To make a donation, go to the website here and click on “Donate join the fight” on the right side of the homepage.

Crafts Group– From 1:30-3 p.m. today, there’s a crafts group at the Maidu Senior Center, at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive. Group members share ideas in this informal get-together. For more information, call 916-774-5960.

Souls Art Exhibit – If you find yourself with some extra time today or anytime between now and Nov. 1, consider a trip to the to check out Souls, works by Carlos Loarca and Raphael Delgado.
