Pair of Roseville Restaurants Robbed at Gunpoint
Outback Steakhouse and McDonald's were robbed late Saturday night and early Monday morning and police are investigating to see if the two are linked.

Two Roseville restaurants were robbed at gunpoint between Oct. 15 and Oct. 17 and police are investigating to see if the two are linked. No injuries were reported in both of the robberies, according to Dee Dee Gunther, spokesperson with the Roseville Police Department.
Around midnight on Saturday, Oct. 16, two or three unknown suspects robbed on North Sunrise Avenue and took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects confronted the employees as they were closing restaurant, Gunther said. The robbers tied the employees up with zip ties, disabled the phones in the restaurant, smashed the employees’ cell phones before leaving and took money from the safe, Gunther said.
The robbers were described as white males with thin builds, wearing stockings over their faces. One of the robbers appeared to have facial hair, and wore a tan jacket. One was armed with a handgun.

At 4:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 17, on Harding Boulevard was also robbed at gunpoint, according to Roseville Police. As employees arrived to open the restaurant, they were confronted by an armed man who demanded money from the safe. The suspect is described as having brown, medium length hair; he wore a black long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans, and was armed with a handgun. He disabled the phone in the restaurant before leaving.
Gunther said police are investigating to see if the two robberies are linked because of the similarities in how the robberies occurred and the restaurants’ close proximity to one another.
