Poll: How Safe Do You Feel in Roseville?
With the recent shooting near the Galleria mall, we want to know how safe residents feel here.

According to Roseville Police, they believe the Galleria Boulevard shooting was the result of a conspiracy to rob the drug dealer during a methamphetamine deal. None of the people involved were from Roseville, according to police.
Roseville Police Chief Daniel Hahn said police believe this was a planned "criminal transaction," not a random event.

"Violent crimes like this are extremely rare in Roseville," Hahn said in a statement.

But it's also the second similar incident in Roseville within a year. In July 2011, another group of males were involved in a . The group met to conduct a marijuana sale, but instead four suspects robbed the drug dealer, according to Roseville Police. Again, none of the men were from Roseville.
Although these incidents are not common in Roseville, some people have commented about safety here. A couple commenters said they feel it may be time to move out of Roseville. Another reader said he thinks the increasing crime is an issue everywhere — not just here in Roseville.
