Poll: Should Vaccine Exemptions be Allowed?

We want to know if you think parents should be allowed to file a personal belief exemption from vaccines for their kids.

Personal belief exemptions, which allow students to skip vaccines their parents don't agree with, are commonly signed out of fear that vaccines are dangerous for children or simply because guardians believe them to be unnatural.

Roseville school districts had a higher percentage of than the state's average of 2 percent last year. At one Roseville private school, 19 percent of kindergartener parents signed a personal belief exemption last year, according to the California Department of Public Health.

One concern with a high rate of vaccine exemptions at a school is how to handle an outbreak.
