Business News: Roseville Restaurant Scene Grows

From tapas and seafood to an island-themed bar and grill, Roseville’s restaurant scene is growing. Within the next few months, Roseville residents will have about half a dozen new eateries to choose from when dining out.

We share business news with readers constantly and have noticed a spike in new restaurant announcements. Take a look at Roseville eateries that will be opening soon:

Sangria — at the corner of E. Roseville Parkway and Douglas Boulevard. Sangria has been undergoing renovations at the site and will include a menu full of Mediterranean cuisine. We'll share more details as we get more information.

Namaste Napal Restaurant — . They currently have two locations in the Sacramento area — one in Davis and another in Rancho Cordova. Namaste Nepal Restaurant will be located at 380 Roseville Square, between Any Mountain and Trader Joe’s. Their other locations have menus that include items like meat and fish kebabs, masala, curry, Naan bread, and a large selection of vegetarian and meat appetizers.

The Cheese Steak Shop — is expected to open early this summer at 1563 Eureka Road. Their sandwiches are made fresh to order using meat, cheese, peppers and rolls imported directly from Philadelphia. They will offer sandwiches made with beef and chicken cheese steaks and vegetarian and Italian hoagies and side dishes.

Hill’s Kitchen — Taking over the vacancy left when Pause Lounge closed last year, . The menu will include fresh seafood and meats. Hill's Kitchen is owned by Chef David Hill, who runs the popular Chef's Table restaurant in Rocklin. Hill's Kitchen will be located at 1465 Eureka Road.

Zocalo — will open its second location this summer at the Fountains at Roseville. In December 2011, they announced plans to take over the former TRES Tequila Lounge & Kitchen.  Check Roseville Patch next week as we share a sneak peek on construction and plans.

Final Gravity — will not only have almost two dozen beers on tap, they will also have a small food menu and serve champagne and wine. Final Gravity is expected to open July 1 at 9205 Sierra College Blvd.

Sammy’s Rockin’ Island Bar & Grill — will be opening at 238 Vernon St. Sept. 15. Sammy's Rockin' Island Bar & Grill will also be a live music venue and the City of Roseville expects it to help bring life back to Downtown Roseville.

Jack’s Urban Eats — This Sacramento eatery will open its second Roseville location this September. at the current Counter burger joint location at the Fountains at Roseville; The Counter is expected to close May 20. Jack's Urban Eats has a menu full of custom-built salads, carved meats and sandwiches.
