Steve Jobs Dead at 56; How Did He Change Your World?

The Apple co-founder died Wednesday. Weigh in here on his contributions to the world.

On my first day as a Patch editor, I sat in a room of other journalists using Apple computers. To find the location of my New York City training session, I had punched the address into my iPhone.

Whether or not you were a fan of the brand he molded, Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs made a huge impact on the way our society uses computers. And now he's gone.

Jobs, 56, died Wednesday, Apple announced in a brief statement.

Apple's products are so ubiquitous now that it's almost hard to imagine a world without them. Walk down a busy street and the white earbuds are everywhere. Not everyone will think that's a good thing, but it's not likely to change any time soon.
