Take a Look Inside Roseville PD at Cops and Community Day
On Oct. 22, the Roseville Police Department will be open for tours, include K9 demos and show its indoor firing range, all free.
This Saturday, Oct. 22, you can go behind bars, watch K-9s demonstrate how they catch criminals and take a look inside a fire engine. It’s all free and part of Cops and Community Day at the .
The four-hour event is made possible through donations from Target, the Roseville Police Officer’s Association and the Roseville Police Association.
It’s promised to be a family friendly event and some of the highlights include:

- Tours of the Roseville Police Department, including the jail and indoor firing range
- Close-up views of a police car, police motorcycle, Roseville Fire Department engine, and Placer County Sheriff's Department's helicopter
- Police K9 demonstrations
- Bounce house, inflatable slide and other activities for the kids
- Free hot dogs, hamburgers, and samples from local restaurants
- Tours and demos at the Roseville Police Activities League Gym next door
- Community resource fair with displays from many local organizations serving children and families
Not only is the event free, but there’s also a raffle with chances to win some pretty cool prizes. Proceeds from the raffle go to the Placer Multi-Disciplinary Interview Center (a resource shared by all Placer County law enforcement agencies and the DA's office, for the expert interviewing of child victims and witnesses) and the Placer Law Enforcement Chaplaincy.

- A custom "Roseville PD" guitar created by the guitar woodshop at Buljan Middle School

- An emergency driving lesson
