A look at what's going on in Roseville today.

Tonight, Oct. 5, is a busy one in Roseville. From 6:30 p.m. on, city councilmembers and some city officials will be at the council chambers discussing the city, the recent gas leak fire and city expansion.
State of the City – Roseville Mayor Pauline Roccucci will give a state of the city address at 6:30 p.m. in the council chambers. The address will take place before the scheduled council meeting.
Gas Leak Fire Info – Following the state of the city, at about 7 p.m., PG&E officials will explain some of the issues regarding the at the intersection of Riverside Boulevard and Cirby Way. According to the city, PG&E will also replace the pipe at the intersection starting tonight at 9 p.m., weather permitting.

Council Meeting – The evening continues will the Roseville City Council meeting at 7 p.m. today in the council chambers. One of the items on the agenda includes the city’s tax-sharing agreements with Placer County. With this agreement, already approved by Placer County's Board of Supervisors, council could approve to allow a city expansion of 4,700 acres. The agreement could result in about 30,000 new houses developed within the next 20 years, according to an article in The Sacramento Bee. You can see the full agenda here.
