Update: Babysitter Accused of Scalding Child is Family Friend
The toddler was in ICU for approximately 15 hours, according to Roseville Police.

A live-in on suspicion of scalding a toddler with hot water, is a family friend, according to Roseville Police Sgt. Cal Walstad.
Walstad said the parents came home from work to find their almost 3-year-old child injured. The parents called 911 and when the Roseville Fire Department arrived, paramedics determined “this was not just a normal injury,” Walstad said. Roseville Police started the investigation and arrested the live-in babysitter, 23-year-old Samuel Charles Flores, on suspicion of child abuse.
The child had suspicious injuries on his back and investigators believe that the babysitter, while intoxicated, scalded the child with hot water as a form of discipline.
