Santucci Golf Tournament – Enjoy some golf on the greens Friday for the at Sierra View Country Club in Roseville. The tournament raises funds for scholarships given to Roseville high school seniors and students at Sierra College. For more information, call Carol Garcia at 916-724-2424.

Free ‘Footloose’ Preview – it’s Footloose Friday as Century Roseville will show a free advanced screening of “Footloose” at 6 p.m. Friday. Saturday, Oct. 1

Me Gusta Kids Opening - One of the , Me Gusta Kids, will celebrate its grand opening Saturday. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. children's singer, songwriter Charlie Hope will join in on the fun, as well as author and illustrator Michael Slack. Festivities will also include food, a children's manicure station using non-toxic nail polish and crafts.

Linda Creek Nature Walk – In celebration of Creek Week, come out to learn about the wildlife you can find at Linda Creek. You may get a glimpse of some wildlife in their habitat, such as many species of birds. This free walk is open to everyone at takes place at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Alta Manor parking lot, 930 Oak Ridge Drive in Roseville. For more information, contact Scott Dietrich at 916-208-4976.

Drip Irrigation 101 – The city is holding an Introduction to Drip Irrigation course to help you design, install and maintain a drip irrigation system. You’ll learn how to schedule your system, how many emitters each plant needs and more. The class takes place from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at 1501 Pleasant Grove Blvd. in Roseville. The cost is $7 for Roseville residents; $10 for non-residents. For more information, call 916-746-1550.

Daddy’s Tool Bag – To give dad a few parenting tips, Sacramento area First 5 Children and Families Commissions are hosting , an educational program that will teach dads how to be better parents. The free event is open to everyone – dads, moms, kids and families and will take place at 10 a.m. in Loomis, 6909 King Road. For more information, go to the website here or call 530-863-8274.

reCREATE Re-opening – with a scavenger hunt, games, snacks and the new ReCreation Station. The business was previously located in Downtown Roseville, but moved to a larger located on Washington Boulevard in Roseville. The free celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 8417 Washington Blvd. Suite 135. For more information, call 916-749-3717.

Barktoberfest Day 1 – This two-day kicks off with Barks, Brats and Bids, a dog-friendly night of tasting food from local restaurants, wineries and breweries. Dogs are welcome to attend this event too, which runs from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the Mercedez-Benz dealership, 4747 Granite Drive in Rocklin. Tickets are $40 per person and there will be a limited number of tickets available at the door. Purchase tickets in advance at www.placerspca.org or by calling 916-782-7722 or 530-885-7387 ext. 106. Romanian Festival – Join in on some festive fun as the Romanian Community Center of Sacramento celebrates its 10th anniversary. The free Romanian festival will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday at Royer Park, 190 Park Drive. You will have a chance to sample some Romanian fare, listen to music and more. Sunday, Oct. 2

Barktoberfest Day 2 – Sunday’s free includes a Doggie Parade at 10 a.m., games, contests, food, K9 training, a kids zone and more. The fun runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Telefunken Semiconductors (formerly NEC), 7501 Foothills Blvd., Roseville. More information is available on the website here.
