Weekend Planner: Pumpkin Smashing, Trick-or-Treating, Halo Tournament

Cirby Elementary Carnival – Train rides, bounce houses and more at Cirby Elementary School’s carnival. Halloween costumes are encouraged.

Corbett’s House of Horror - There are four themed haunted houses at Corbett's House of Horror: Hollywood Experience, Medical Center, Crazy Carnival and House of Horror.

When: The houses are open 7 p.m. to midnight through Halloween, Oct. 31

Callson Manor Haunted House - Zombies, vampires, a strobe light maze and three haunted houses take over the . The Living Dead Stage also features two nightly shows.

Saturday, Oct. 29

Medication Take-Back – There are three spots in Roseville and others throughout the county where you can safely get rid of your unused and expired medications this weekend. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Oakmont, Roseville and Woodcreek high schools, people can anonymously dispose of their unwanted medications. Empty your medications in a plastic bag prior to drop-off.

Halo Tournament – Blacktop Comedy is hosting a Halo: Reach Tournament from 1-4 p.m. Saturday. The game, XBOX 360 and controllers will all be provided as they transform the theater into a gaming room with a 12-foot screen.

Trunk or Treat – Bayside West Church will host Trunk or Treat with bounce houses, carnival games, horse rides and candy.

Pumpkin Smashing – Partake in pumpkin smashing, pumpkin decorating a costume contest and racing at the All American Speedway Saturday. Gates open at 3 p.m.; the pumpkin decorating starts at 4:30 p.m. and runs until intermission; smashing pumpkins on the track starts at 6:15 p.m.; racing starts at 7 p.m.; a costume contest is set for intermission.

Spooktacular Weekend – The Westfield Galleria at Roseville will open its doors to lots of Halloween festivities in a Spooktacular weekend filled with a kids costume contest, scavenger hunt and trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Nightmare on Vernon Street – The Roseville Historic Theatre will transform into a Halloween-themed night with costume contests, carnival games, performances of the Monster Mash and Zombie Jamboree and karaoke. Tickets to this Roseville Theatre Arts Academy show are $10 for adults, $5 for students 20 and under.
