Car Seat Inspection – Make sure your kiddos are strapped in tightly and correctly at a free car seat inspection hosted by Safe Kids Placer County. The free event is in recognition of National Child Passenger Safety Week. Your seats will be inspected for proper installation and use. Sauce Off – Locals will compete for the title of Roseville’s best pasta cause during Friday’s Sauce Off. The fundraiser event raises funds for Crime Stoppers and Roseville Parks and Recreation senior programs and runs from 6-8:30 p.m. tonight. You’ll get to sample some of Roseville’s best pasta sauce, listen to live music by the “Dean-O-Holics” and leave with a full stomach. Boot Scootin Benefit - Nevaeh's Hope, a nonprofit for displaced pregnant women and their children, promise a boot scootin' good time at their second annual benefit. From 6-10 p.m. at , 6401 Stanford Ranch Road in Roseville, you can enjoy a barbecue dinner and a live concert by "The Chris Gardner Band." All proceeds from the event to to Nevaeh's Hope. Roseville Bikefest – Strap on your helmet and pedal your bike over to the Roseville Bikefest Saturday. The 18th annual event will feature obstacle courses, riding demonstrations, helmet fittings, bike safety inspections, giveaways and entertainment. Halloween Costume Swap – Make this Halloween a “green” one by donating your kids’ costumes and swapping for another gently used costume. Rocklin peace. love. swap. will host a Halloween costume swap. Bring your gently used baby, kids, teen and maternity items and swap them for things you could use. All of the items left over from the swap will go to charity. Drop off your items between 10-11 a.m. and the swap runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lone Tree Park, 6101 West Oaks Blvd. in Rocklin. More information is available here.

Stand Out Talent Gala – will celebrate its grand opening with a gala fundraiser Saturday. From 5:30-9 p.m. at the Tower Theatre, special guest artists Glee's Brad Ellis and Broadway's Danny Gurwin will be featured, as well as entertainment by Jennifer and Jason Bortz. The reception begins with a ribbon cutting at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for students and children. More information is available here

Help a Hero – See K9 demos, watch people get soaked in a dunk tank and smile for the camera with a K9 at Sunday’s Help a Hero fundraiser. The event is hosted by the in Roseville and funds go to help cover medical expenses. Local band “Autal Austerity” will also perform.
