1 Dead In Crash Into SR-54 Center Divider

SAN DIEGO, CA — A person is dead Tuesday after a vehicle crashed into a center divider on eastbound state Route 54 near the Highland off-ramp, according to a California Highway Patrol online log.

The crash happened at 11:17 p.m. Monday, the CHP reported. The age and gender of the victim was not immediately released.

A silver Toyota Tacoma was found in the SR-54 eastbound center divider with one person dead in the vehicle, the CHP log said.

A medical examiner was called to the scene at 12:09 a.m. Tuesday and the road was reopened at 12:49 a.m.
