2 Of The Country's Best New Restaurants Are In San Diego: Ranking

SAN DIEGO, CA — Two of Yelp's Best New Restaurants of 2024 are in San Diego.

Japanese restaurant Kinme Omakase ranked fourth on the list, according to the online review website.

"The art of kaiseki, or seasonal sushi, comes alive at this intimate and elegant San Diego restaurant," the author of the report wrote. "With only 10 spots available at a long wooden counter, your 10-course meal is uniquely personal."

Mediterranean restaurant BoujieMana ranked eighth on the list.

"Giving back has never looked, or tasted, as good as it does at this San Diego stunner," the author wrote. "With commitments to community — 3% of profits are dedicated to a different local nonprofit organization each month — and to a joyful culinary experience, BoujieMana is ultimately a place where people can connect, according to owner Samer Khouli."

To determine the ranking, Yelp considered the volume and ratings of reviews for full-service restaurants that opened after Jan. 1, 2023, and consulted with trend expert Tara Lewis.
