SAN DIEGO, CA — Two people were seriously injured in a shooting Sunday while sitting in their vehicle, which was parked in an alleyway in San Diego, authorities said.

At about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to reports of multiple shots fired behind 7073 El Cajon Blvd., near the intersection of 70th Street in the Rolando neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.

Police said unknown suspects approached the victims while they were sitting in their vehicle and fired shots. A male and a female were taken to a hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
