SAN MARCOS, CA — Charges were not filed this week against four men accused of drugging and sexually assaulting three teenage girls in northern San Diego County.
The men were arrested Friday after authorities said they assaulted a 16-year-girl and two 17-year-old girls in the 200 block of Woodland Parkway in San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The men, who range in age from 31 to 44, were booked into the Vista Detention Facility on suspicion of arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes, oral copulation on someone under 18 years old, penetration by a foreign object, and rape of an unconscious person, according to the sheriff's office.

An inmate search of the San Diego County Jail system did not show the suspects in custody as of Wednesday.
Since no charges were filed at the time of the suspects' arraignments, they were released from sheriff's custody on Tuesday, according to sheriff's Lt. Aloha Peters.
"The San Diego County Sheriff's Office continues its investigation into the Aug. 1 incident in San Marcos," Peters told Patch. "Because this is an active investigation, no other information is being released."
The sheriff's office asked anyone with information about the case to call the sexual assault unit at 858-285-6112 or after hours at 858-868-3200. Tipsters can remain anonymous and contact San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
