SAN DIEGO, CA — Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions are expected Thursday along the San Diego County coastline.

A high surf advisory is in effect until 4 p.m. for the county's coastal areas, according to the National Weather Service.

Large breaking waves of 5 to 9 feet are expected for west-facing beaches, according to the NWS.
