Authorities Serve Warrants In Human Trafficking Investigation

SAN DIEGO, CA — Law enforcement agencies served search warrants Monday night and Tuesday morning at multiple locations in San Diego and National City as part of an ongoing human trafficking investigation, authorities said.

The operation was spearheaded by the San Diego Human Trafficking Task Force, which includes members of several local agencies. Agencies involved included the sheriff's office, the National City Police Department and the San Diego Police Department.

"Specific details of this ongoing investigation are extremely sensitive and are not for media release," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "This operation is not associated with any type of federal immigration enforcement."
