Back Up Again – San Diego County Gas Prices Increase

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose 1.2 cents Saturday to $5.234.

It was just the third increase in the last 80 days. The average price dropped for 59 consecutive days, rose one-tenth of a cent on both Aug. 14 and Aug. 23 and was unchanged last Sunday. It had reached a record $6.373 on June 15.
It is 1.6 cents less than one week ago and 30.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 88 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service.

The national average price dropped for the 81st consecutive day since rising to a record, falling 1.3 cents to $3.796. It has dropped $1.22 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, including 2 cents on Friday.
The national average price is 6.1 cents less than one week ago and 36.7 cents lower than one month ago, but 61.2 cents more than one year ago.
