Better Buzz Coffee Opens Location In Terminal 1 At San Diego Airport

SAN DIEGO, CA — A beloved San Diego-based coffee chain has a new location at San Diego International Airport.

Better Buzz opened its doors Tuesday inside the airport's new Terminal 1. The San Diego-born coffee roasters and café serves handcrafted espresso drinks, coffee, teas and smoothies, as well as made-to-order food items and fresh pastries.

The Terminal 1 store serves a concentrated menu of Better Buzz's signature and seasonal handcrafted beverages and made-to-order food items. The location's offerings aim to accommodate the traffic and needs of guests within an airport terminal, with a focus on speed and convenience, according to the company.

"Our community has been the heart of Better Buzz from the very beginning," said Amanda Cameron, vice president of marketing at Better Buzz. "This opening is a chance to bring a little piece of San Diego to the airport — fueling travelers as they take off and greeting them with a warm welcome home. We wouldn't be here without the support of our hometown, and we're honored to share that same buzz with the world."

Founded in 2002 as a craft coffee cart by two college students, Better Buzz now 26 locations in the San Diego region.

The airport location comes after a handful of recent openings in the San Diego area as well as Orange County, Las Vegas and Arizona.

Better Buzz made its Poway debut in March, followed by a new store in Fashion Valley in June, a Vista store in July, and a Rancho Peñasquitos store in September.

According to the company, Better Buzz plans to open nine more stores by the end of the year throughout San Diego, the Inland Empire, Orange County, Las Vegas and Phoenix.
