Bicyclist Fatally Struck By SUV On I-5 In National City
The bicyclist died at the scene of the crash, CHP Officer Kimberly Gonzalez said.

NATIONAL CITY, CA — A bicyclist was fatally struck by an SUV early Wednesday on Interstate 5 in National City, authorities said.
A man riding a bike was struck by a BMW X3 shortly before 1 a.m. on southbound I-5, south of Mile of Cars, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The bicyclist died at the scene of the accident, CHP Officer Kimberly Gonzalez said. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were believed to be a factor in the crash, Gonzalez said.
