SAN DIEGO, CA — A 36-year-old bicyclist is hospitalized Wednesday with fractures to a leg and arm after being struck by an SUV in Midway.

San Diego Police Department officers responded at approximately 8:09 p.m. Tuesday to the 2300 block of Midway Drive, where they learned a 55-year- old man driving a 2000 Nissan XTerra westbound on Midway Drive was approaching the intersection with Enterprise Street with a green light when the cyclist rode into the path of the Nissan and a collision occurred, said Officer Jose Perales.

Police said alcohol was not a factor in the collision.
