Boat Carrying 7 Migrants Stopped Off Coast Of Point Loma
Authorities said all seven individuals aboard the vessel claimed Mexican nationality.

SAN DIEGO, CA — The U.S. Coast Guard stopped a boat carrying seven migrants off the coast of San Diego, officials said Monday.
The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Robert Ward intercepted a 20-foot vessel at 8:42 a.m. Sunday about eight miles south of Point Loma, according to the Coast Guard.
Authorities said all seven individuals aboard the vessel claimed Mexican nationality. The migrants were transferred Sunday afternoon to the custody of U.S. Border Patrol at Ballast Point.
