Body Found On SR-94 In San Diego's East County
Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
SPRING VALLEY, CA — A man wearing a motorcycle helmet was found dead Tuesday on a highway in San Diego's East County.
Officers responded to a report of a man in the roadway on eastbound state Route 94, east of Sweetwater Springs Boulevard in Spring Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol. Paramedics attempted life-saving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Upon arrival, the male was wearing a motorcycle helmet and there were fragments from a motorcycle at the scene; however, a motorcycle has not been located at or near the scene," Officer Jared Grieshaber said.

The crash was under investigation. Investigators believe the man was traveling eastbound on SR-94 and was involved in a crash, Grieshaber said.
"However, all investigative leads have not been exhausted," he added.

Witnesses were asked to contact the CHP's El Cajon area's office.
