Boy Stabbed In Bay Terraces Neighborhood

Gang detectives were handling the investigation.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A 17-year-old boy was stabbed in the Bay Terraces neighborhood, San Diego Police Department said Wednesday.

The suspects, a group of five or six boys, approached the victims, a group of five or six boys, at Alta View Drive and South Woodman Street, according to SDPD Officer John Buttle.

One group challenged the other group to fight, Buttle said. The victim group ran away.

One juvenile from the suspect group chased a 17-year-old boy, and stabbed him twice in the left rib. His injuries were not considered to be life threatening. The victim was taken to a hospital.

The suspect group fled northbound on Woodman Street, Buttle said.
