Brush Fire Prompts Evacuation Order, Warning In San Diego's East County
A temporary evacuation point was established at Regal Edwards Rancho San Diego.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A brush fire prompted an evacuation order and warning Wednesday afternoon in San Diego's East County.
The blaze, called the Millar Fire, burned near Campo and Millar Ranch roads near the community of Rancho San Diego, according to the County of San Diego.
Firefighters stopped forward progress by 3:18 p.m., according to Cal Fire San Diego. The blaze burned 15 acres and was 5% contained.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department issued an evacuation order and warning for nearby areas. As of 3:20 p.m., all evacuations were lifted.
A temporary evacuation point was established at Regal Edwards Rancho San Diego at 2951 Jamacha Road in El Cajon.
