We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should expect warm temperatures this week in parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service.

"High pressure over the region will maintain very warm temperatures through much of the coming week, especially away from the coast and across the interior portions of the area," NWS Los Angeles forecasters wrote Monday. "Gusty northerly winds will develop once again tonight across southern Santa Barbara County and through the Interstate 5 corridor. A gradual cooling trend will develop late in the week."

Tens of thousands of demonstrators gathered Saturday throughout Southern California as part of nationwide "No Kings" protests against actions taken by the Donald Trump administration, including immigration raids on workplaces, courts and schools, and his expansion of executive power in several areas.

In other news, a woman participating in a "No Kings" Day demonstration was struck and seriously injured by a motorist who drove through a crowd; six people were injured when a vehicle plowed into another crowd of protestors; a body was found on a major freeway; and a man was killed in a shooting in a motel.
