We've rounded up the stories you may have missed over the weekend to prepare you for the week ahead.

But before we jump into Southern California's top stories, residents should expect a warming trend this week, according to the National Weather Service.

"A warming trend sets in through midweek, peaking Tuesday and Wednesday for inland and desert areas, before a very slight cooldown towards the end of the week," NWS San Diego forecasters wrote Sunday. "Above normal temperatures may return by the weekend. The marine layer becomes shallower through mid week with night and morning low clouds for the coastal areas and western valleys."

In other news, a deputy was wounded and a robbery suspect was killed in a shootout; a man was fatally shot at a school graduation; more child porn charges were filed against a drummer; and six people were aboard a plane that crashed off the coast.

National Guard troops arrived in downtown Los Angeles after two days of immigration raids and protests, but within hours, the tension boiled over and protests turned violent.
