Earthquake Near Borrego Springs Shakes Riverside, San Diego Counties

The quake was reported early Thursday morning. Did you feel it?

BORREGO SPRINGS, CA — An earthquake rattled parts of Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties early Thursday morning.

The 3.5-magnitude quake was reported at 12:39 a.m. about 13.67 miles north of Borrego Springs, a census-designated place in northeastern San Diego County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake had a depth of about 6 miles.

Residents reported feeling the quake in Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties, including in Beaumont, Desert Hot Springs, Murrieta, Morongo Valley, Twentynine Palms, El Cajon, San Marcos and Valley Center.
