Elderly Couple Found Dead In Otay Mesa
The 82-year-old man and 83-year-old woman were both found with gunshot wounds after police responded to their home.
SAN DIEGO, CA -- Homicide detectives are investigating a possible murder-suicide after an elderly couple were found dead in their Otay Mesa mobile home Sunday. The 82-year-old man and 83-year-old woman were both found with gunshot wounds after police responded to their home in the Ocean Bluffs Mobile Home Park to check on their well-being at about 10:30 a.m.
"Neighbors and friends were concerned because they knocked on their door, no answer, no response to phone calls, and it's very unlike them," said San Diego Police Department Homicide Lt. Mike Holden.
Officers had to force their way into the mobile home after receiving no response when they knocked on the door.

The man and woman were identified as the married couple who owned the mobile home.
"Preliminary, this is a possible murder-suicide," Holden said.

The couple's names were not being released, as police have not yet notified next of kin, Holden said.
