Fire Damages Home In Serra Mesa, Injuring 3 Residents
The fire caused $600,000 in damage to the single-family residence, the department said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A fire damaged a house in Serra Mesa Thursday, leaving three people injured, authorities said.
Crews responded to a call Thursday at 2:58 a.m. in the 2700 block of Melbourne Drive, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The fire caused $600,000 in damage to the single-family residence, the department said.

"Four adults and three pets were displaced. Three people were transported to UCSD for treatment of unspecified injuries," fire officials said.
Five fire engines and 37 crew members responded to the fire, the department said.

The Metro Arson Strike Team was continuing an investigation into the incident.
