Fire Sparks At Pacific Beach Restaurant
The fire caused an estimated $300,000 in damage to Zen 5 Sushi, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Fire caused an estimated $300,000 in damage to a restaurant in Pacific Beach Monday, the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department said.
The fire at Zen 5 Sushi at 1130 Garnet Ave. was reported at 1:53 a.m. and brought under control at 2:13 a.m., according to SDFRD.
Crews responded to the restaurant fire on the first level of a mixed- use residential structure and prevented the flames from spreading to the residences above.

There were no injuries reported, but two adults and three children were displaced.
The fire caused an estimated $200,000 in structural damage and about $100,000 in other damages to the restaurant, according to SDFRD.
