Firefighters Respond To Injured Hiker At Mission Trails Regional Park

SAN DIEGO, CA — Firefighters were called to assist an injured hiker Wednesday at Mission Trails Regional Park, authorities said.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department received a call of a need for assistance at 12:07 p.m. Wednesday at Golfcrest Drive and Navajo Road.

"Crews made contact with a 67-year-old female who had fallen with an ankle injury and did an evaluation," SDFRD Battalion Chief Jeff Mitchell said. "She said she was good so she was not transported for further treatment."
