SAN DIEGO, CA — Firefighters were working a vehicle rescue on a stretch of freeway in San Ysidro Sunday.

Units were dispatched at around 3 a.m. Sunday and arrived a few minutes later to southbound Interstate 5 near Camino De La Plaza, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

A total of 24 personnel were assigned to the rescue, including one truck, three engines and one medic, officials said.
