Gas Station Robbed In North Park
A man entered the Speedway gas station, approached the front counter, and displayed a firearm, the officer said.
SAN DIEGO, CA — A man robbed a gas station early Wednesday in North Park, the San Diego Police Department reported.
The robbery happened at 2:50 a.m. in the 3200 block of University Avenue, according to SDPD Officer David O'Brien.

The suspect asked the clerk to help him with the register, O'Brien said. The clerk opened the register and placed the cash drawer on the counter. The suspect took a handful of bills from the cash drawer and left the business.
He was last seen heading eastbound from the business on foot. The clerk was not harmed in the robbery.

The suspect was described as a man possibly in his twenties about 5 feet, 10 inches, weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white shoes.
SDPD Robbery detectives responded and were investigating the robbery.
