Get An 'Inside Look' At Animals At SeaWorld San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — Visitors can now get an inside look at dolphins, penguins, sea turtles and other animals at SeaWorld San Diego.

Starting Saturday, the theme park's Inside Look event is back with all-new presentations and interactive opportunities. The event, which runs Jan. 10-11 and Jan. 17-19, offers educational experiences highlighting marine rescue, research and conservation.

Inside Look is included with park admission.

New experiences include:

Visit Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute: Take a trip on the Bayside Skyride and stop at Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute. The tour stop takes about 15 minutes and runs from 1-3 p.m. during Inside Look dates.

Meet the SeaWorld Rescue Team: Located at Rescue Plaza, this interactive experience runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., giving guests the chance to meet animal care professionals, lab technicians and veterinarians.

Rescue Pals: Debuting at the Rescue Jr. Stage, this all-new educational presentation introduces park-goers to "conservation ambassadors. " Attendees will see a variety of species up-close including an alligator named Spike and a capybara named Tater Tot.

Meet Shark Specialists: Meet the park's shark experts from noon to 1 p.m. and from 2-3 p.m. near Discoveries Toy Store.

Jewels of the Sea Aquarist Talk: Explore the jellyfish exhibit from 3-4 p.m. during an aquarist-led talk inside the Medusa Gallery at Jewels of the Sea: The Jellyfish Experience.

Inside Look Orca Trainer Talk: See the Inside Look presentation at Orca Amphitheater at 2 p.m.

Inside Look Connections: Inside Look will spotlight local conservation organizations on SkyTower Lawn.

Otter Trainer Talk: Learn about sea otters during the Otter Trainer Talk at Wild Arctic.

Penguin Keeper Talk: Learn about penguins during the Penguin Keeper Talk at Penguin Encounter.

Dolphin Trainer Talk: Learn about dolphins during the Dolphin Trainer Talk at Dolphin Point.

Sea Lion Trainer Talk: Trainer talks are held after the 3 p.m. Flippers, Facts, and Fun: The Sea Lion Experience at Sea Lion & Otter Amphitheater.

Inside Turtle Reef: Watch zoological scuba divers interact with turtles in the reef while educators share information, answer questions and engage attendees.

Visitors can pick up an Inside Look passport at the front of the park and visit certain Inside Look locations for a special stamp. Bring the completed passport back to The Whale Shop to receive a special prize, while supplies last.
