Hello Kitty Cafe Truck Cruising Into San Diego For Comic-Con International
"We're so excited to return to San Diego Comic-Con — it's one of our favorite events," a spokesperson told Patch.
SAN DIEGO, CA — The popular Hello Kitty Cafe Truck is cruising into San Diego for Comic-Con International.
The truck will stop at San Diego Comic-Con for four days of fun. The truck has made appearances at the annual event since 2015, according to Hannie Peng, a spokesperson for Hello Kitty Cafe Truck.
"We're so excited to return to San Diego Comic-Con — it's one of our favorite events," Peng told Patch. "This year marks our 10th anniversary, and we're celebrating with a brand new lineup of anniversary merch that fans won't want to miss."

The all-pink cafe on wheels will carry exclusive treats and collectibles celebrating all things Hello Kitty. During the pop-up event, fans can purchase sweet treats and limited-edition collectibles, including Hello Kitty-themed apparel, as well as home goods and accessories.

The merchandise list features Hello Kitty hoodies, T-shirts, totes, ceramic mugs, thermal bottles, keychains, pins, cup ornaments, cookies, and cookie and macaron sets. Only credit and debit cards will be accepted, according to organizers.

The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck made its debut in October 2014 as part of Sanrio's first food-related venture. To date, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck has visited more than 100 cities across the country, according to organizers.

The truck is currently celebrating two major milestones: Hello Kitty's 50th anniversary and the truck's 10th anniversary.
The truck will be available from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Interactive Zone at Petco Park at 100 Park Blvd. in San Diego.
After Comic-Con, the truck will continue its tour with an Aug. 2 stop in Fresno.
"If you can't catch us at Comic-Con, don't worry — we'll be back in SoCal this November with more chances to visit the truck and shop the new collection," Peng said. "Keep an eye out —Hello Kitty might be headed to a city near you."
