Homicide Detectives Investigate Man's Death In Ramona
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
RAMONA, CA — Homicide detectives Monday were investigating the death of a man in Ramona.
Deputies responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at about 2:35 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Eighth Street, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
When they arrived at the scene, deputies found a man suffering from traumatic injuries and requested paramedics, Lt. Juan Marquez said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's name was withheld pending family notification.
Homicide detectives were conducting an investigation, interviewing witnesses and gathering more evidence, Marquez said. At this stage of the investigation, the motivation and circumstances of the crime remain under investigation.

"Based on information gathered so far, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the community," Marquez said.
