Kids Get Free Admission In October At San Diego Zoo And Safari Park
Both parks are offering seasonal events as well as free admission to children ages 11 and younger with a paid adult ticket.
SAN DIEGO, CA – Families can celebrate the fall season with free admission for kids this month at the San Diego Zoo and San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
Both parks are offering seasonal events as well as free admission to children ages 11 and younger with a paid adult ticket throughout October.

The event features acrobatic spider performers, ghoulish live music, the opportunity to meet unique wildlife and more. The not-so-scary Halloween-themed event runs until 9 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October. Highlights include:
- Enchanted HalGLOWeen Forest: Park-goers can see the Polar Bear Plunge like never before when they walk through an all-new forest of glowing stones and hear a special story about the magic of the moon.
- Live Music: Halloween hits will fill the air from San Diego Zoo Rock Radio 201.8 and live music from the Skeleton Band, The Glow-Go's, Dusty Keys, and Día de los Meurtos Mariachi.
- Zoo Boo Crew: At the Boardwalk, visitors will get to meet and greet Dr. Harry and Friends, all dressed in Halloween costumes.
- Python Path: The Reptile House will take on a new look after dark as visitors get to see some of the zoo's reptiles in a whole new light.
- Boolahoops: Centennial Plaza will come alive as the Boolahoops return with Halloween hits, hoop contests and games.
- Featured Creatures: Wildlife care teams will introduce some of their stranger wildlife friends.
- The Spider's W.E.B.: Acrobatic spider performers will show off their skills as they hover over Wildlife Explorers Basecamp.
- Spooky Revue: Mr. Scare D. Cat will introduce a collection of kooky acts in a glowing and acrobatic variety show.
- Dr. Zoolittle's Tricks and Treats: Dr. Zoolittle will get in on the HalGLOWeen spirit with interactive activities and wildlife trivia on the Africa Rocks Stage.
Families looking for fall-themed fun can attend the Autumn Festival at the Safari Park.

Park-goers can meet scarecrows, learn to line dance, wander through a maze and more. The event runs until 7 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in October. Highlights include:
- Live Music: Enjoy a country and bluegrass soundtrack with live music from The Barn Owls and new acoustic musical duo Ash Meadows.
- Robert the Zebra: Animated zebra, Robert, will greet guests of all ages and educate them on the plight of his friend, the burrowing owl, and the work San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is doing to help wildlife in Southern California.
- Autumn Festival Jamboree: Scarecrow hosts will lead an interactive country dance party.
- A-MAZE-ing Autumn Adventure: Young explorers are invited to navigate the twists and turns of a maze while searching for clues that will help them find pictures of Southwest wildlife. Kids can also engage and interact with not-so-scary scarecrows as they show off their juggling and bouncing skills.
- Safari Parker: Safari Parker will share interesting facts about burrowing owls with guests at Condor Ridge.
- Reflections: See a spectacle of floating, flickering lanterns as part of a choreographed and lighted musical journey around the world.
