SAN DIEGO, CA — It took firefighters about 25 minutes Tuesday to extinguish a fire that damaged a Clairemont Mesa-area house and a neighboring outbuilding.
The blaze erupted at about 10 a.m. in the 7600 block of Baltic Street, just southwest of the intersection of Interstate 805 and state Route 163, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
"When crews arrived, a large portion of the back side of the home was engulfed in flames," SDFRD spokesperson Candace Hadley said. "The home's occupant had already evacuated to safety prior to their arrival with no injury."
