Late-Night Fire Damages Ocean Beach Home
Investigators set the monetary losses at $300,000 to the structure and $50,000 to contents.
SAN DIEGO, CA — Firefighters subdued a blaze early Tuesday that caused an estimated $350,000 worth of damage to an Ocean Beach home.
The non-injury fire erupted shortly after 11:30 p.m. Monday in a carport in the 4700 block of Muir Avenue and then spread into an adjacent residential garage converted into living quarters, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
It took crews just over a half-hour to get the flames under control, the city agency reported.
