Man Arrested After Having Loaded Ghost Gun In North County Park

SAN MARCOS, CA — A man was arrested after being found with a loaded gun in a park in San Diego's North County, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a call about a disturbance shortly after 11 a.m. Thursday at Connors Park at 320 West San Marcos Blvd. in San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
Juan Beltran, 37, had gotten into an argument with his girlfriend while in possession of a loaded, privately manufactured weapon, commonly referred to as ghost gun, in his fanny pack, according to the sheriff's office. Investigators also found two methamphetamine glass pipes and a small clear baggie containing the drug in his fanny pack.

Beltran was booked on suspicion of multiple drug and firearm charges into the Vista Detention Facility, the sheriff's office said.
