Man Arrested After Stealing Cash From Customer At San Diego Area Bank
Roberto Galvan, 40, was identified by the victim and arrested on suspicion of robbery, officials said.
IMPERIAL BEACH, CA — A man was arrested after he stole cash from a customer making a deposit at a bank in the South Bay area of San Diego County, authorities said.
The robbery happened shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chase Bank at 1100 Palm Ave. in Imperial Beach, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office. A man, later identified as Roberto Galvan, 40, approached the victim from behind, grabbed her money, ran out of the bank and drove away.
The victim tried to stop Galvan, but suffered minor injuries while holding onto the car as he fled the area, according to the sheriff's office. Her name was not released.

Deputies with the Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation learned that Galvan was spotted in El Cajon. With help from the El Cajon Police Department, the suspect was found shortly afterward and taken into custody without incident, officials said.
Galvan was identified by the victim and arrested on suspicion of robbery, officials said.

Authorities asked anyone with information about the robbery to call the Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation at 619-498-2400.
