Man Arrested In Shooting At Rincon Indian Reservation

Paramedics airlifted the wounded man to a hospital.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A Valley Center resident was behind bars Monday on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a shooting that left another man wounded last week at Rincon Indian Reservation.

Kyle Del Gregory, 31, allegedly opened fire on the 46-year-old victim with a rifle about 1 p.m. Friday in the 7500 block of Mendoza Road, about a half-mile northeast of Harrah's Resort Southern California, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Paramedics airlifted the wounded man to a hospital, where he was admitted in undisclosed condition.

Deputies arrested Gregory at the scene of the shooting, Lt. Joseph Jarjura said.

Authorities have disclosed no suspected motive for the alleged firearm assault.

Gregory, who was on probation at the time of his arrest, was being held at San Diego Central Jail without bail pending arraignment, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
