Man Robs San Diego Bank With Note: Police

Detectives are investigating the robbery.

SAN DIEGO, CA — A man walked away with an undetermined amount of cash after giving a teller a note at a San Diego bank, authorities said.

The robbery happened shortly after 4 p.m. Monday at a bank in the 5500 block of Balboa Avenue in the Clairemont Mesa East neighborhood, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The suspect, who was in his 20s, left the bank in an unknown direction, police said.

The suspect was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was wearing a black hat, hooded sweatshirt and brown pants.

Detectives responded and were investigating the robbery. The contents of the note and the amount of money taken were not released.

Authorities asked anyone with information about the robbery to call the department or San Diego County Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
