Man Seriously Injured In Stabbing At Chula Vista Strip Mall
Paramedics took the victim to UCSD Medical Center, where he was admitted in serious but stable condition.

CHULA VISTA, CA — A man was recovering in a hospital Thursday from severe stab wounds he suffered during a late-night fight at a South Bay strip mall.
The victim had just left a gym at the commercial center in the 1100 block of Broadway in Chula Vista when he got into a confrontation with an 18- year-old man shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.
During the angry encounter, the teenager stabbed the other man, Lt. Frank Giaime said. Paramedics took the victim to UCSD Medical Center, where he was admitted in serious but stable condition.

Officers arrested the alleged assailant a short time later, the lieutenant said. The suspect's name has not been released.
